Lightweight Backpacking Workshop, July 27 7-8:30 pm

 

San Juan Public Lands Center, 15 Burnett Court, Durango

 

SO! Members and San Juan Mountains Association volunteers Will 

Rietveld and Janet Reichl will show you the gear and techniques they 

use to keep their pack weight under 15 pounds for summertime 

backpacking in the mountains. All without sacrificing comfort or 

safety. 

 

Will and Janet have been ultralight backpackers for over 10 

years and Will is Senior Gear Editor for Backpacking Light Magazine. 

The workshop will focus on lightweight backpacking, with  focus on 

lightening your load and increase your enjoyment of backpacking.
